Keshav Bansal

Keshav Bansal graduating from IIT Kanpur, Branch- Cse department as a Graduate (B.Tech) in 2020 has been placed as Quant in Quadeye.

a) Other companies that I was shortlisted for - Cohesity US b) Analysis of available options (based on profile, growth, compensation, Brand Name, etc) - I was interested in the Quant profile so chose Quadeye. The other option was a systems role in Cohesity. The package of the two was comparable considering the cost of expenses in India and USA. Also planning masters in data science sometime later so wanted to work in the Quant sector.

I had done the data structures course offered by my department so I was well versed with the algorithms. I first practised the important categories of problems from Interview bit. After solving it, I moved to hard problems of leetcode. For Quant, I prepared using the site called brainstellar. Also highly suggest the book "50 challenging problems in probability"'

Dos - Practice competitive coding really well since this is what gets you shortlisted for the companies. Donts - Dont get demotivated during the placement process. It gets stressful at times but ultimately it gets fine.

Final Tips :
If you havent done a data structures course, then try to get the previous year slides from your seniors (Baswana sir has made awesome slides which are available feely). It will help you tackle even variations of standard problems asked in the coding tests. The coding questions asked in the interview are comparatively easier and will focus a lot on the projecta you have done in past.
