I STARTED MY PREPARATIONS IN SUMMERS. I USED TO CODE IN C WHICH I SWITCHED TO C++. I STUDIED MORE FOR TOPICS WHICH WERE BEING CONTINUOUSLY ASKED IN COMPANIES FROM LIMITED SOURCES. WHILE PRACTICING FOR DS AND ALGORITHM PART, DOING LOTS OF QUESTIONS DOES NOT HELP THAT MUCH. YOU SHOULD KNOW HOW AN ALGORITHM IS WORKING IN DEPTH BECAUSE THEY MAY ASK THAT IN INTERVIEW. ALSO PRACTICE FOR WRITING CODE ON PAPER BECAUSE IT BECOMES DIFFICULT IF YOU HAVEN’T DONE IT BEFORE AS YOU CAN’T MAKE THE CODE COMPILE AND GET TO KNOW THE ERRORS. FOR THE PROBABILITY AND STATISTICS PART, ONLY MSO/HSO WON’T HELP MUCH, PRACTICE MUCH ON QUESTIONS ALSO. SUCH QUESTIONS HAVE A VERY SET PATTERN TO SOLVE THEM SO WHILE PRACTICING TRY TO STICK TO IT. DURING INTERVIEW, YOU WILL BE ASKED TO SOLVE QUESTIONS, TRY TO SOLVE THEM BY INTERACTING WITH THE INTERVIEWER. IT WILL ALSO HELP YOU IN SOLVING THE QUESTION AS THE INTERVIEWER MIGHT CLEAR SOME OF YOUR DOUBTS IN THE QUESTION IF YOU ARE HAVING A CORRECT APPROACH. DON’T SOLVE COMPLETELY AND THEN SHOW THE ANSWER, SHOW HIM THE INTERMEDIATE STEPS ALSO.
