Amisha Shahdeo, studying in IIT Kanpur as a B.Tech student will do her summer internship in PRODUCT SUPPLY profile at PROCTER AND GAMBLE

I STARTED MY PREPARATION DURING THE SUMMER BREAK. FOR COMPANIES LIKE HUL/ITC AND P&G, CONVERSATIONAL SKILLS ARE IMPORTANT FOR WHICH MOCK GD SESSIONS HELPED. PREPARING HR QUESTIONS ARE ALSO IMPORTANT FOR SUCH ROLES. FOR HUL/ITC, I SKIMMED THROUGH THE PRACTICAL APPLICATION-BASED CONCEPTS OF THERMODYNAMICS/FLUIDS. I HAD ALSO PREPARED FOR QUANT PROFILES. FOLLOWING ARE SOME OF THE RESOURCES I FOUND USEFUL DURING MY PREPARATION – - FIFTY CHALLENGING PROBLEMS IN PROBABILITY – (HTTPS://MBAPREPONLINE.FILES.WORDPRESS.COM/2013/07/FIFTY_CHALLENG ING_PROBLEMS_IN__2.PDF) (THE SET OF PROBLEMS IN THIS BOOK AND THEIR SOLUTIONS COVER MOST OF THE REQUIRED PROBLEM-SOLVING CONCEPTS IN PROBABILITY) - BRAINSTELLAR (HTTPS://BRAINSTELLAR.COM/) (PROBLEMS IN PROBABILITY/PUZZLES) - A PRACTICAL GUIDE TO QUANTITATIVE FINANCE INTERVIEWS (HTTPS://USERMANUAL.WIKI/DOCUMENT/PRACTICAL20GUIDE20TO20QUANTITAT IVE20FINANCE20INTERVIEW.604244935.PDF) (A VERY USEFUL BOOK THAT COVERS ALMOST ALL THE TOPICS REQUIRED FOR QUANTITATIVE FINANCE) - Also, practicing coding questions from GeeksforGeeks (at least the ESC101 level) was helpful

NO CPI CRITERIA BUT RESUME SHORTLISTING WAS DONE

FOR P&G SPECIFICALLY, A CONSISTENCY IN THE ANSWERS THROUGHOUT THE SCREENING PROCESS WAS IMPORTANT. KNOWING THE VALUES OF THE COMPANY WELL AND PREPARING HR-BASED QUESTIONS WAS ALSO HELPFUL. SITUATION BASED QUESTIONS WERE PRIMARILY ASKED IN THE INTERVIEWS. (EX. HAVE YOU EVER SOLVED A PROBLEM FOR YOUR TEAM, HAVE YOU BEEN A SITUATION WHERE YOU HAD TO SHIFT YOUR WORKLOAD ONTO SOMEONE ELSE, WHAT DID YOU DO? DECISION-MAKING AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS-BASED QUESTIONS WERE ASKED) I HAD SPENT MY SUMMERS ENHANCING MY SKILLS BY TAKING UP SOME ONLINE COURSES. I FOCUSED ON INTERNSHIP PREPARATION USING THE RESOURCES MENTIONED ABOVE. PROJECTS/INTERNSHIPS/COURSES CAN BE TAKEN UP IN THE SECOND-YEAR SUMMER BREAK, BUT IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOT NEGLECT YOUR PREPARATION FOR INTERNSHIPS.
